Maritime Pathways Academy

Maritime Pathways Academy is a unique, harbor-based educational field trip experience designed to connect students to the water, and the opportunities within it.

Created in partnership with local maritime and educational organizations, this immersive program introduces students to Ventura County’s rich maritime heritage while creating meaningful exposure to STEAM concepts, ocean stewardship, and career pathways connected to our local harbor industries and the Port of Hueneme.

Students participate in a multi-stop educational experience that may include maritime history exploration, hands-on learning activities, educational vessel experiences, boating and water-based activities, and behind-the-scenes exposure to the people, industries, and operations that help keep our working waterfront moving.

Designed to be accessible for a wide range of age groups, all vessel activities remain within the harbor, creating a comfortable and engaging environment for students to experience time on the water.

Our goal is simple: help students build confidence, curiosity, and awareness of the incredible opportunities that exist right here in their own backyard.
