• Closed Toe Shoes are MANDATORY for safety.

Whether it’s the thrill of reeling in a catch, the calming sway of the boat, or simply being surrounded by the open sea, this experience is crafted to positively impact youth both physically and emotionally, providing them a safe space to grow and thrive. Designed for all ages, offering an exciting introduction to the world of fishing and boating. Participants will learn essential maritime skills in a fun, hands-on environment. Students will explore fishing techniques, knot tying, fish identification, and how to handle tackle, as well as the basics of boat maintenance and seamanship. With a focus on building confidence and teamwork, this program encourages exploration and curiosity while developing practical skills that can be applied both on and off the water.  

Student will get hands-on experience with boat operations, learning how to navigate and understand the parts and systems of a vessel.

Students will begin to learn basic maritime laws and safety protocols they need to know while out on the water or on a vessel.

Students will begin to learn knot-tying techniques and rigging skills. on important technique they will begin to learn is The cleat hitch-a knot used to secure a line to a boat cleat and is considered one of the most important knots for sailors and boaters.

Harvesting your own fish to eat is not only rewarding but also a sustainable practice, allowing you to connect with your food source and reduce the environmental impact compared to commercial fishing. Youth will begin to learn the basics of fishing right in the harbor, including how to set up your tackle, choose bait, and casting.

Brief harbor cruises help to enhance understanding of maritime operations and local ecology. These short journeys offer a practical insight into boat movement and the natural environment, enriching the learning experience.
